Meet the team.

At Fife Coastal Trinity Church, we believe that ministry is a shared journey. Our team is made up of people who care deeply about faith, community, and the everyday lives of those we serve. From elders and office-bearers to volunteers and staff, each person brings their own gifts — and together, we seek to reflect Christ’s love in all we do.

We invite you to get to know the faces behind the welcome, the worship, and the work of our parish.

Rev Ian Wotherspoon

Interim Moderator

I have been your Interim Moderator since 1stJanuary and coming into a new        situation is a bit of a steep learning curve, as it must be for you as you enter the future as Fife Coastal Trinity.

I already know some of you from  doing pulpit supply and I am steadily getting to know more of you as time goes by.

My hope is that we will be able to work together for what will inevitably be a  demanding time as we seek a new         minister to lead you forward.

The Very Rev Dr Russell Barr

Locum Minister

Having been born and brought up in the Ayrshire town of Kilmarnock, when I left school I was hoping to  become a professional golfer.

Thankfully God had other ideas - must have seen my putting - and having trained in Edinburgh, in 1979 I was ordained and inducted to the charge of Garthamlock and Craigend East in the Easterhouse area of Glasgow

In 1988 I moved to be the minister of Greenock St Luke's and then in 1993 to Edinburgh's Cramond Kirk where I served until my       retirement in November 2020.

In 2016 I was privileged to serve as Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, a role        that allowed me to represent the Church of Scotland at home and abroad.

Married to Margaret, we have a son Robert, daughter Lindsey, who are both      married and we have four lively grandchildren

As your locum, I am glad to lead Sunday worship services and resource the worship team leaders as they lead services.

I am also glad to provide   pastoral support and care, in times of bereavement or    visiting people at home or in hospital.

Fiona Keay

Session Clerk

I lived in Largo for 16 years and became a member of St. David’s Church during that time. I moved to St. Monans in 1992 and became an elder in St. Monans in 2006 before becoming Session Clerk in 2022.

I am Mum to 3 grown up children and Gran to 4, age 9 – 26 years.

Before retiring I worked with Fife Council teaching Primary and latterly Nursery in Levenmouth schools and nurseries.

As Session Clerk of our united parishes as Fife Coastal Trinity I will endeavour to serve God and his people to the best of my ability and with the help of the Session Clerk Team and all the elders,

God Bless.

Victoria White

Church Treasurer

My family and I moved to      the East Neuk from   Edinburgh when our  children were 4 and 5, and we have lived in Pittenweem for almost 12 years now. My husband's family have connections to the area going back many centuries.

I initially moved away from the world of finance and  accountancy when were located, but became Treasurer of what was Elie, Kilconquhar and Colinsburgh Church back in 2017.

I have my own financial  services business based in the East Neuk and also work with Boarhills Dunino and St Andrews: Holy Trinity church on the  finance side. I like to think this gives me good        insight into how a busy Thriving University town Church  and our own Rural   congregations can learn from each other and build a stronger worshipping  community in North East Fife.

I am involved in the local Community not just through my role as an elder, but I am  involved with the Tennis Club in Pittenweem and coach for my son's football team in Cupar. In any spare time, I have I like to run or enjoy long dog walks with our two spaniels.

I take immense pride in  being able to produce  reliable and accurate financial information to guide the Session in both short- and long-term planning and keeping them right in their crucial roles as Trustees to   ensure we comply with Charity Law as all times.

I am a numbers geek and make no apologies for that!

Helen Ironside

Church Administrator

I have been Church Administrator for what was East Neuk Trinity since 2018, supporting the life of the  parish through seasons of change and growth. My role places me at the  heart of church life:          coordinating worship,            logistics, maintaining             essential church records, and helping to ensure that our buildings are safe, welcoming, and well organised for       everyone who uses them.

I also develop and manage our parish communications,   maintain the church website and magazine, and serve as a central point of  contact for anyone engaging with the life and work of the parish.

I am committed to handling     information with care  and  professionalism,  supporting GDPR compliant processes   and ensuring that communication across the parish is clear, consistent, and accessible.

Having supported the           congregation through the  recent union, I am delighted to continue my work within Fife Coastal Trinity, bringing warmth, steadiness, and a      deep commitment to                helping people feel connected and at home in this newly formed parish family.

Elizabeth Meacher

Depute Session Clerk - East Neuk Trinity Legacy.

Hello I am Elizabeth Meacher and have been an elder for over 20 years at East Neuk Trinity Church.

I look forward to working with Fife Coastal Trinity as a Deputy Session Clerk.

I help with many of the Church Activities including Friendship Lunch, the Guild and Bible Study.

I am also a leader with Rainbows, Brownies and Guides in the East Neuk.

look forward to working with you all.

Morag Dawson

Depute Session Clerk - Largo Legacy.

I became an Elder back in 2000 when I was a member of Kincardine and Tulliallan Parish Church on the other side of Fife.

My involvement in the Church there included, among other activities, being the  Safeguarding officer and helping out with the summer clubs.

Ten years ago I retired.  I     had a varied career          starting off teaching             Biology in school, becoming a teacher  fellow at Stirling University, managing        Stirling Council’s unit for      pupils with profound           additional support needs and finally ending my career as a pupil support manager.

Ten years ago I moved over to live in Lundin Links and      became a member of Largo Legacy,  where I was married in 1983.  I  became an Elder in Largo Legacy after a couple of years.

I have been helping out with various activities in Largo Legacy over the last 8 years.  In 2025 I was asked to chair the Worship Group as we all worked  together to plan for the Union.  The Worship Group continues to meet as we work towards appointing our new minister for Fife Coastal Trinity.

Carol Copland

Depute Session Clerk -   St Monans Legacy.

I was born and brought up in Glasgow, before moving to Edinburgh to work for the Royal Bank of Scotland. Edinburgh  became home for many years, where my     husband and I raised our two girls.

In 2009 we moved to St Monans, and I now work part‑time for the Royal & Ancient Golf Club. I have served as an elder since 2011, first in St Monans and now within our united parish.

As part of the Session Clerk Team, I hope to play my part in encouraging our United Parish to serve God with    enthusiasm, unity, and   courage in the years ahead.
